Lion Forge Animation signs collaboration agreement with former Global Sports pros


Alumni Pros Global Sports (APGS) announced a partnership with David Steward II Lion Forge Animation studio (The company responsible for the Oscar-winning short, Hair love).

The collaborative effort makes Lion Forge Animation the official partner and producer of all animated content that will come from the minds of the hundreds of professional athletes who are part of the APGS network.

According to Deadline, the agreement between the two companies will be composed of the co-founder of Alumni Pros Global Sports Robert smith and head of business development for Lion Forge Animation Jimmy thomas. The content produced will include episodic long and short series as well as feature films, shorts and hybrid content.

Our partnership with Lion Forge gives athletes, especially minority athletes, the unlimited potential to explore new avenues of storytelling and expand their creative horizons through animation.

Lion Forge Animation was the driving force behind Oscar-winning animated short Hair love, which former professional athlete Matthew A. Cherry realized. They also produced the André the Giant graphic novel and MMA Fighter Rampage Jackson’s comic. Lion Forge Animation is currently one of the few black-owned animation studios in the world.

Alumni Pros Global Sports is a collective of professional athletes who seek to help athletes manage their intellectual property. His group includes the PlayersTV media network.

APGS Advisors and Investors Include NBA Hall of Famers Jules “Dr. J” Erving, George Gervin, Spencer Haywood, Allen Iverson, Dikembe Mutombo, and Mitch richmond, NFL Hall of Fame Ray lewis, and current NFL players Brandon copeland and Tahir Whitehead.
