Antique tractor event advances Saturday | News, Sports, Jobs

The annual plowing day begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday with spectators welcome.

STOCKTON – The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will be holding their annual plowing day Saturday starting around 8 a.m. on Highway 380 and Pierson Road. Antique tractors and plows will demonstrate plowing in the surrounding fields. The event will continue throughout the morning and afternoon, until the fields are plowed.

At last year’s event, six antique tractors used plows with two to five heads (blades).

Members of the association are invited to participate in the plowing and members of the community are invited to attend this event. Spectators can stay in their vehicle and park on the side of the road. If spectators get out of their vehicles, we ask them to follow the rules of social distancing.

“The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association hopes to have yet another year of fun turning the soil and would like to thank Mis-Fit Farms for allowing us to plow their fields for this demonstration!” the organization announced in a press release this week.
